The Commerce Commission's 111 Contact Code was created to ensure that Vulnerable Consumers have reasonable access to an appropriate means of calling 111 emergency services in the event of a power failure or internet outage.

What is the Code?

The 111 Code ensures that people who are more likely to need to contact 111, and who have a home phone that doesn’t work in a power failure (with no other means of contacting 111 at their house), are provided with a means to contact the 111 emergency services in the event of a power failure.

iTelco's VoIP services are not a traditional phone service and is provided on a best efforts basis. We will use all reasonable endeavours to make our services available to you at all times, however things beyond on control such as power outages or the performance of your internet connection may disrupt the service we provide.

Our VoIP service is a non complaint voice service under the Emergency Calling Code. Please note iTELCO LIMITED will still use all means possible to process your emergency call. Non compliance simply means that this cannot be guaranteed.
